# Network Devices

▶***Hardware -*** Simply we can say, it is the physical part of a computer or network( we can say the things that we can see and touch).  
  
▶**Example of computer hardware:-**  
**  
*1.CPU(Central processing unit)* *\-****(Processor) Brain of computer- Main part of the computer.*  
  
***2\. Monitor* *\-****Displays output- shows text, images and videos.*  
  
***3.Keyboard and Mouse -*** *Input devices- give command to computer.*  
  
***4.Hard disk(slower)/SSD(faster)*** *\- Storage device5.RAM*(Random access memory) - Temporary memory  

▶**Example of Network Hardware:-**  
  
**1.Modem** - That connects the network to the internet.(It converts signals from the internet into a form your devices can understand.)  
  
**2.Router** - It connects multiple devices (e.g.- phone ,laptop ,tv) to the internet or and to each other.  
  
**3.Switch** - It connects device in a local network,or **send data only to the correct device**(faster and more secure)  
  
**4.Hub** - It sends data to all devices(but slower and less secure)  
  
**5.Firewall** - It protects the network from hackers or unwanted traffic, It blocks any suspicious data.
